MEET THE TEACHERS

I graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. After working in retail for ten years, I decided to pursue a career in education. I returned to ATU and received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2014. My internship was completed at Oakland Heights, where I was also a substitute teacher for three long-term leaves and then worked as an instructional aide. I am proud to be a part of the Oakland Heights team. My goal for the students is to develop the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in whatever endeavors they choose to pursue in life.

I graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I completed my internship for the Early Childhood program right here at Oakland Heights in fourth grade. I began my teaching career working with preschool children and am happy to be back in the elementary setting. I have always had a passion for the children in Russellville and know that they are the future of our community. My goal for my students is that each of them recognizes their individual strengths and that every single one of them can be successful, lifelong learners.
